WELFARE, CONSERVATION & TOURISM

Every tour counts!

Every time BirdsConTour leads a tour, we give something back.
This time it was the Caprivi Tour, a tour from Namibia through Botswana to Zimbabwe, organized by Chamäleon Reisen and Pack Safari and led by BirdsConTour.

Water for Sossus Birds. Since the registration of the big Namib Sand Sea as an UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site, and Sossusvlei being part of it, more and more visitors travel here. Each visitor unconsciously kills a certain amount of insects, beetles, ants etc. These trampled animals would have been an important source of moisture for many birds because of lack of open water. Therefore BirdsConTour initiated the Water for Sossus Birds project in order to give back for what we destroy. Every Pack Safari tour guide leading a tour to Sossusvlei is motivated to offer a mobile water trough filled with water next to the bus to the birds during his/her visit.
BirdsConTour reports in article 88.

BirdsConTour sponsored a trampoline  for the kids of the Ngatuve Vatere orphanage. Some of the kids have never jumped on a trampoline before.
