The moment
Isolde Venter from Trip Travel, one of the oldest travel agencies in Namibia,
contacted BirdsConTour to guide an organized tour, she didn’t know how much she
would get involved in conservation.

Travel slogan - “Live to Travel”
After
BirdsConTOUR, the tourism division of BirdsconTour, successfully guided this
fantastic tour, BirdsConTour surprised Isolde with a one penguin-rated Bird
& Birder Friendly Award, a project by the BirdsConTour Aiding Wings program. Aiding Wings works to motivate people and to improve
the lives of people, ultimately to generate a nature conservation conscious
community. BirdsConTour believes that only an informed and a content society
can indulge in sustainable nature conservation.
The reason for rewarding Mrs. Venter lies
hidden in the objective. The main objective of the BirdsConTOUR (tourism)
program is to generate funds for conservation projects. Therefore does any
person or company that makes use of BirdsConTour, in this situation Isolde
Venter from Trip Travel, contribute to conservation because money is received.
These funds support BirdsConTour in its endeavors to conserve nature. THANK YOU
and CONGRATULATIONS to Isolde! All awardees are listed in the electronic
BirdsConTour newsletter Birds in Words (www.birdscontour.blogspot.com),
article 71.
