Gisela Tjitemisa, an angel in human form, founded in 2005 in Kalkfeld, a small village 70 kilometers from Otjiwarongo away, a home for children who have lost their parents to AIDS or other misfortunes.

Ngatuve Vatere, the apt naming in the Herero language means as much as 'place for a safe home for children'.

BirdsConTour supports this project and honored the dedicated team at Gisela Tjitemisa for its full social effort with a two penguin rated Welfare & Tourism Support 2014 Award.

That the approximately 30 between 1-16 year old children also get into the benefit of this award, BirdsConTour has, according to the currently held FIFA World Cup, given them a brand new soccer ball with four goal posts, difficult to be overlooked.
