Listening to Mr. Stephan Hock talking about the animals on his property shows he treats the animals with respect and dignity.

The famous Indian philosopher, Mahatma Gandhi, explained: “You can judge the greatness of a nation and its moral progress by the way its animals are treated.”
Animal welfare is a relatively new concept in Namibia. The welfare of an animal is its state and condition of wellbeing. For Stephan and Sabine Hock together with their staff it is important that animal welfare gets implemented at all animal species on their property, no matter how big or small they are. BirdsConTour with a two penguin-rated Bird & Birder Friendly Award recognized these good animal welfare practices on Immanuel Wilderness Lodge, congratulations! BirdsConTour believes that good animal welfare on a certain accommodation reflects on the guests that specific accommodation receives.
(Please note that all award recipients are listed in an alphabetical order in article 71 “Congratulation” under www.birdscontour.blogspot.com.)
