SUPPORT AWARDS (Welfare, Conservation and Tourism division)

Support Awards

Photos and text by Stefan Rust
2014

(In terms of the Geneva Convention the copyright of these texts belongs to Stefan Rust)

The aim of the Support Award project is to let people feel that their action in taking responsibility gets recognized. An award can be received for measurements taken in the interest of welfare, conservation and/or tourism, no matter how big or small. Each category catered for one penguin symbol appears on the award. Therefore an award showing three penguins explains that all three categories are served for. Thus a 3 penguin-rated award is the highest achievement.

BirdsConTour has awarded people/establishments of the following countries:

Namibia (Africa)                                                  South Africa (Africa)                                                Germany (Europe)

Botswana (Africa)                                      Zimbabwe (Africa)                                             Austria (Europe)

Switserland (Europe)

They are supporting welfare, conservation and tourism – How about you?

CONGRATULATIONS to all Support Award recipients (in an alphabetical order) (more awardees in article 71):
